This announcement is made in accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules ('DTR') contained in the Handbook of the UK Financial Services Authority, in particular with DTR 5 which is deemed to apply to Ruspetro PLC (the 'Company') under its articles of association. 

The Company was notified on 26 January 2012 by Schroder Investment Management Limited, in accordance with DTR 5, of its interest in 16,856,943 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company representing 5.13% per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
