Mwana Africa PLC14 January 2008 Mwana Africa plc (the "Company") Holdings in Company London, 14th January 2008 - The Company was notified on 9th January 2008 that,with effect from 8th January 2008, the percentage holding of voting rightsattaching to the Company's issued ordinary share capital of Artemis InvestmentManagement Ltd and certain of its investment clients, had reduced to 5.61 percent. Their total holding remains at 18,797,885 ordinary shares to which votingrights are attached although, following the issue of ordinary shares by theCompany in connection with the SouthernEra acquisition, this has reduced theiroverall percentage holding to below 6 percent of the voting rights attachingto the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
