European Motor Hldgs PLC09 December 2005 EUROPEAN MOTOR HOLDINGS PLC (the "Company") Holding in Company The Company received notification on 8 December 2005 that as at the close ofbusiness on 7 December 2005, UBS AG, acting through various of UBS AG's businessgroups and legal entities, had a material interest in 7,400,216 ordinary sharesin the Company representing 13.63 per cent of the issued share capital and a nonmaterial interest in 1,106,828 ordinary shares, resulting in a total of8,507,044 ordinary shares representing 15.66 per cent of the issued sharecapital. Of the material interest disclosed above, 2,574,700 ordinary shares representing4.74 per cent of the Company's issued share capital are held by UBS Global AssetManagement Life Limited, and 4,825,516 ordinary shares representing 8.89 percent of the Company's issued share capital are held by UBS AG London Branch. On 9 December 2005 the Company received notification that Trefick Limited nowholds 5,073,795 ordinary shares in the Company representing 9.34% of the issuedshare capital.
