Holding in Company acquired for GDR Programme
London, 28 August 2008 - JSC Acron, a leading Russian and global producer of mineral fertilizers, has been informed that as of August 27, 2008 Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas increased its aggregate holding in Acron's ordinary shares to 5.5% of the Company's authorised capital. These shares were acquired as security for the Global Depositary Receipts ("GDR") programme of Acron. Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas acts in the capacity of the Depositary in relation to the Company's GDR programme.
