Jarvis PLC02 January 2008 Jarvis plc ("the Company") reports that it has been notified by JPMorgan Chase & Co. in correspondence dated 02/01/08 attaching a copy of a TR-1 Notificationsof Major Interests in Shares that following transactions on 28/12/07 JPMorganChase & Co. through shareholdings held by J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. and JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Limited has a combined direct and indirect holding over 17,653,247 ordinary shares in the capital of the Company representing 8.28% of the voting rights in and the issued share capital of theCompany. 8,022,911 ordinary shares are held directly representing 3.76% of the voting rights in and the issued share capital of the Company. 9,630,336 shares are held indirectly representing 4.52% of the voting rights in and the issued share capital of the Company.
