UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 20 May 2008 that following a transaction on 16 May 2008 Credit Suisse Securities (Europe) Limited has decreased its notifiable interest to 6,234,131 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 3.97% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
