Aricom PLC01 May 2007 1 May 2007 Aricom plc ("Aricom" or "the Company") Shareholding in Company Aricom plc (AIM: TIO), the Anglo-Russian developer of mineral resources, todayannounces that it has been notified that, as at close of business on 27 April2007, Malavasia Enterprises Inc. ("Malavasia") holds 145,000,000 Ordinary Sharesin Aricom plc. This holding is as a result of the allotment of 65,000,000 Ordinary shares asadditional consideration to Malavasia pursuant to the agreement under whichAricom acquired its existing 50% interest in the Kimkanskoye and Sutarskoye ironore exploration and extraction licences , as announced on 5 April 2007. This holding represents 27.91 per cent of the current total issued share capitalof Aricom plc, being 519,461,121 Ordinary shares. As announced on 5 April 2007, an issue of 123,782,467 Ordinary Shares toPhilotus Holdings Limited ("Philotus") is expected to take place in due coursefollowing the issue of the consent of the Russian Federal Anti-Monopoly Service. Philotus is a company owned jointly by Peter Hambro and Pavel Maslovskiy andis therefore a related party. As previously announced on 5 April 2007, theseshares will be issued pursuant to an option agreement which was approved byAricom's shareholders at a general meeting on 18 April 2006. Following the issue of Ordinary Shares to Philotus and Malavasia and assumingthat no other Ordinary Shares in the Company are issued, the total issued sharecapital of Aricom plc will be 643,243,588 Ordinary shares and, at such time,assuming that Malavasia has not sold any Ordinary Shares, Malavasia's holdingwill represent 22.54 per cent of the enlarged issued share capital of Aricomplc.
