UMC Energy received notification today of the following transactions in its ordinary shares of 0.5p each ("Ordinary Shares"), all of which took place on 9 May 2012:

·; Gogear International Ltd disposed of 92,782,000 Ordinary Shares, resulting in a holding of nil Ordinary Shares (representing nil per cent. of the Company's ordinary issued share capital);

·; Top Horizon Group Ltd acquired 2,000,000 Ordinary Shares, resulting in a holding of 69,218,000 Ordinary Shares (representing approximately 14.29 per cent. of the Company's ordinary issued share capital);

·; Charlotte Group Ltd acquired 57,782,000 Ordinary Shares, resulting in a holding of 64,032,000 Ordinary Shares (representing approximately 13.22 per cent. of the Company's ordinary issued share capital); and

·; Sweetie Melody Ltd acquired 43,000,000 Ordinary Shares, resulting in a holding of 53,000,000 Ordinary Shares (representing approximately 10.94 per cent. of the Company's ordinary issued share capital).
