Latchways PLC16 June 2005 16 June 2005 LATCHWAYS plc Latchways plc ("the Company") announces that it has today received notificationfrom Merrill Lynch Investment Managers Group Limited that, following a purchaseof shares, it has a revised notifiable interest in 1,316,565 Ordinary shares of5 pence each in the Company, representing approximately 12.10% of the issuedordinary share capital. The holding, which is on behalf of discretionaryclients, is registered in the name of Nutraco Nominees Limited. Furthermore, Latchways also received notification of the same holding fromMerrill Lynch & Co Inc, and Merrill Lynch Group Inc, in their capacities asholding companies of Merrill Lynch Investment Managers Group Limited. Finally, the Company today received notification from Merrill Lynch InvestmentManagers Group Limited that, following a purchase of shares, it has a revisednotifiable interest of 467,098 Ordinary shares of 5 pence each in the Company,representing approximately 4.29% of the issued ordinary share capital. Thisholding is on behalf of BNYTC as trustee of the MLIT UK Smaller Companies Fundplc, and is included in the total holdings disclosed above.
