Drax Group PLC19 October 2006 DRAX GROUP PLC ("Drax" or the "Company") (Symbol: DRX) SCHEDULE 10 NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES Thursday 19 October 2006 Drax has received a notification today, from Morgan Stanley, advising that on 17 October 2006, Morgan Stanley Securities Limited ("MSSL") disposed of an interest in the ordinary share capital of Drax with the result that MSSL and the Morgan Stanley group companies which are direct or indirect holding companies of MSSL, no longer hold a notifiable interest in Drax. Prior to this notification the last stated holding of Morgan Stanley, asannounced on 9 October 2006, was of 3.11% of the ordinary share capital of Drax.
