Weir Group PLC23 October 2006 THE WEIR GROUP PLC 23 October 2006 Fidelity International Limited ('FIL') and FMR Corp notified The Weir Group PLC("the Company") on 20 October 2006 that their material interest totalled on 19October 2006 a holding of 12,187,989 ordinary shares in the Company representing5.96% of the Company's issued share capital as detailed in the table below, andthat such notification also comprised the interest of Edward C.
