Pan Pacific Aggregates PLC (the "Company") received notification on 26 August 2009 that, following a purchase of ordinary shares in the Company on 24 August 2009, Barclays PLC held for the benefit of its clients, 111,310,867 voting shares in the Company representing approximately 11.98 per cent. of the Company's voting rights.
