Oxus Gold PLC04 January 2005 Oxus Gold plc ("Oxus" or "the Company") Holdings in Company Oxus has been notified pursuant to the provisions of the Companies Act 1985 in aletter dated 23 December 2004 that Fidelity International Limited and its directand indirect subsidiaries, being non-beneficial holders, now holds 14,526,095ordinary shares representing 5.87 per cent. of the ordinary issued share capitalof the Company. Separately, Oxus has been notified in a letter dated 13 December 2004 thatWellington Management Company LLP now holds 11,654,500 ordinary sharesrepresenting 4.71 per cent. of the ordinary issued share capital of the Company.Wellington Management Company LLP holds the shares in Oxus in its capacity asdiscretionary investment manager and the shares are registered in the name ofvarious separate accounts or their custodians or nominees.
