Lonmin PLC22 March 2006 22 MARCH 2006 In accordance with Section 198-202 of the UK Companies Act 1985, Lonmin Plc wasnotified on 21 March 2006 by The Capital Group Companies, Inc ("CGC"), on behalfof its affiliates, including Capital Research and Management Company, CapitalGuardian Trust Company, Capital International Inc, and Capital InternationalLimited ("the Companies") that as at 20 March 2006 their interest in theCompany's share capital has increased to 5,946,349 ordinary shares of US$1 eachrepresenting 4.17% of the issued share capital of the Company. The interest in the relevant share capital of Lonmin arises by virtue ofholdings attributed to the Companies.
