African Minerals Limited (AIM:AMI), the mineral exploration company with interests in Sierra Leone, West Africa, announces that the Company received notification on 9 May 2008 from Prudential plc group of companies ("Prudential") that Prudential has an interest in 9,174,090 common shares of the Company, representing 5.82 per cent of the Company's total issued share capital.
