UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 20 October 2008 that following a transaction on 17 October 2008 Deutsche Bank AG has a notifiable interest in 8,031,882 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 5.11% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
