British Land Co PLC22 May 2006 The British Land Company PLC announces that it received the followingnotification on 22 May 2006, pursuant to sections 198-202 of the Companies Act1985: That FMR Corp. and its direct and indirect subsidiaries and FidelityInternational Limited and its direct and indirect subsidiaries are interested in36,384,006 ordinary shares of 25p each, representing 7.01% of the total issuedordinary share capital of the Company.
