Matra Petroleum plc ("Matra" or the "Company")
Change of Significant Shareholding
Matra was notified on 17 September 2009 by Barclays plc that following the acquisition of 23,083,480 ordinary shares, it now holds 52,628,497 ordinary shares in the Company, representing approximately 5.3% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
Matra was notified on 17 September 2009 by Gartmore Investment Limited that following the disposal of 44,466,507 ordinary shares, it now holds 10,641,185 ordinary shares in the Company, and has ceased to be a significant shareholder.
