UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 28 May 2008 that following a transaction on 27 May 2008 Ameriprise Financial Inc, and its group, has decreased its notifiable interest to 7,830,041 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 4.983% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
