African Minerals Limited (AIM: AMI), the mineral exploration company with significant interests in Sierra Leone, West Africa, announces that it received notification today from RAB Capital plc acting as discretionary manager of RAB Special Situations (Master) Fund Limited and RAB Energy Fund Limited ("RAB Capital plc") that, as of 7 May 2009, RAB Capital plc has an interest in 16,811,973 common shares of the Company, representing 8.97 per cent of the Company's total issued share capital.
