British Land Co PLC24 May 2006 The British Land Company PLC announces that it received the followingnotification on 24 May 2006, pursuant to sections 198-202 of the Companies Act1985: That FMR Corp. and its direct and indirect subsidiaries and FidelityInternational Limited and its direct and indirect subsidiaries are interested in36,260,531 ordinary shares of 25p each, representing 6.98% of the total issuedordinary share capital of the Company.
