Churchill Mining plc12 May 2005 Churchill Mining plc Morgan Stanley Securities Limited ("MSSL") has notified Churchill Mining plc("the Company") that on 9th May, 2005 they acquired an interest in shares thatresulted in MSSL holding a total of 5,000,000 of the Company's shares beingapproximately 4.07% of the issued share capital of the Company. MSSL is a member of the Morgan Stanley group of companies. Those groupcompanies, which are direct or indirect holding companies of MSSL, are, underthe terms of section 203 of the Companies Act 1985, each interested byattribution in any shares in which MSSL is interested.
