Balfour Beatty plc ("the Company") received notice today from M & G Investment Management Limited, on behalf of Prudential plc ("Prudential") and certain of its subsidiary companies, that Prudential holds a direct interest in 5.29% of the Company's total voting rights. Prudential's wholly owned subsidiary company, M&G Group Limited, is also directly interested in the same 5.29% of the Company's total voting rights.
