Gemfields Plc ("Gemfields" or "the Company", Ticker "GEM") received notification on 8 March 2011 from Capital Research and Management Company ("CRM") that on 7 March 2011 CRM sold 9,000,000 of the Company's ordinary 1p shares. Following this transaction, CRM has a notifiable interest in 7,499,333 of the Company's ordinary 1p shares, amounting to approximately 2.31% of the Company's issued share capital.
