UK Coal advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, it was notified on 31 October 2008 that following transactions on 29, 30 and 31 October 2008 Goodweather Holdings Limited has increased its notifiable interest to 44,058,000 ordinary shares of 1p, representing 28.017% of the voting rights in the total issued ordinary share capital of UK Coal.
