Games Workshop Group PLC01 August 2006 Games Workshop Group PLC (the "Company") The Company received notification on 31 July 2006 that Schroder InvestmentManagement Limited ("SIML") has an interest in 3,434,890 ordinary shares of 5pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") which are held in portfoliosmanaged on a discretionary basis for clients of SIML under investment managementagreements. Included in this figure are: (i) 2,025,481 Ordinary Shares held in a unit trust operated and managed by anaffiliated company, Schroder Unit Trusts Limited ("SUTL"), and registered or tobe registered in the name of Chase Nominees Limited; (ii) 687,177 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of British Coal StaffSuperannuation a/c: P; and (iii) 722,232 Ordinary Shares registered in the name of Mineworkers' PensionScheme a/c: R. SIML and their affiliated companies are therefore interested in 3,434,890Ordinary Shares in aggregate, representing approximately 11.03 per cent. of theCompany's issued share capital. This notification is made: (a) in respect of SIML's interest as investment managers, and (b) on behalf of Schroders plc, SIML's holding company, which is treated ashaving an interest in all of the above shares under the Act by virtue of itsownership of SUTL and SIML.
