Regus Group PLC22 March 2005 NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN SHARES LETTER TO COMPANY ANNOUNCEMENTS OFFICE Substantial Shareholdings Regus Group plc On 21st March 2005 we received notification in accordance with the Companies Act1985 of the following: As at the close of business 18th March 2005 Bear, Stearns International Limitedand Bear, Stearns International Trading Limited, together wholly ownedsubsidiaries of The Bear Stearns Companies Inc, 383, Madison Avenue, New Yorkhas an interest in 34,396,159 ordinary shares in Regus Group plc, being 3.49% ofthe issued share capital of Regus Group plc. Of this interest Bear, Stearns International Limited has an interest under s208(5) of the Companies Act 1985 in 34,200,000 ordinary shares of Regus Group plc(3.47% of the issued share capital of Regus Group plc) relating to a variabledelivery prepaid forward contract. The registered holder of the ordinary sharesof Regus Group plc under the variable delivery prepaid forward contract is MaxonInvestments B.V. In addition Bear, Stearns International Trading Limited hasan interest under s198 of the Companies Act 1985 in 196,159 ordinary shares ofRegus Group plc (0.02% of the issued share capital of Regus Group plc).
