RAC PLC07 April 2005 RAC plc - Notification of Major Interest in Shares On 7 April 2005, RAC plc received notification from Schroder InvestmentManagement Limited ("SIML"), under the obligations imposed by Sections 198 to202 of the Companies Act 1985 that, together with affiliated companies Schroder& Co. Limited ("S&Co Ltd") and Schroder Unit Trusts Limited ("SUTL") andsubsidiary company Schroder Investment Management North America Ltd ("SIMNALtd"), it had a notifiable interest in 20,081,507 Ordinary 25p shares of RAC plc(registered, or to be registered in the names set out in the Schedule below)representing 16.901% of the issued share capital of RAC plc.
