British Land Co PLC15 February 2006 The British Land Company PLC announces that it received the following amendednotification on 14 February 2006, pursuant to sections 198-202 of the CompaniesAct 1985: That FMR Corp. and its direct and indirect subsidiaries and FidelityInternational Limited and its direct and indirect subsidiaries are interested in56,404,915 ordinary shares of 25p each, representing 10.87% of the total issuedordinary shares capital of the Company. The Company also received notice that Mr Edward C Johnson 3rd, the principleshareholder of FMR Corp. and Fidelity International Limited, was also deemed tobe interested in those shares. Fidelity International also stated in their notification, that their previousnotification dated 20 January 2006 (and announced on 24 January 2006) wasincorrect. 15 February 2006.
