Judges Capital PLC09 August 2007 JUDGES CAPITAL plc RE: Holding in Poole Investments plc The Board of Judges Capital plc ("Judges") is pleased to note that Inland plchas today announced a recommended cash offer ("Offer") for Poole Investments plc("Poole"). The Offer of 6p per share values the issued share capital of Pooleat £11.1 million and is conditional, inter alia, on 90% acceptances. Judges holds 5.7 million shares in Poole (3.08%). David Cicurel, Judges' ChiefExecutive, is a Non-Executive Director of Poole. The shareholding in Poole, acquired for £200,000 (equivalent to 3.5p per share),is the last significant investment held by Judges under the Company's previousinvestment strategy. Should the Offer become unconditional, Judges wouldrealise a gain of £142,000 before taxation. The cash proceeds of £342,000 wouldbe added to the cash balances available to develop the Company's scientificinstruments business. Judges is supportive of the Offer which it has irrevocably undertaken to accept. David Cicurel Securities Limited, which holds 2.2% of Poole's issued sharecapital, has also irrevocably undertaken to accept the Offer.
