Utilitywise PLC (AIM:UTW), the leading independent utility cost management consultancy, announces that on 23 October 2013 Eric Butterfield and his wife Valerie (the "Vendors") have sold, in aggregate 2,712,500 ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the Company (the "Vendor Shares"), representing approximately 3.8% of the issued share capital of the Company.
The Vendors were issued with the Vendor Shares pursuant to the acquisition of the Energy Information Centre Limited ("EIC"), as announced on 13 June 2013. Following completion of the acquisition of EIC by Utilitywise, Mr Butterfield retired from EIC.
The Company and finnCap released the Vendors from the terms of the lock in arrangements contained within the acquisition agreement relating to the purchase of EIC by the Company in order to satisfy institutional demand. As a result of the transaction Mr Butterfield no longer has a disclosable interest in the Company. The terms of the lock in arrangements entered into by Simon Butterfield, the Managing Director of EIC and a Director of Utilitywise, remain unchanged.
