Notification of Shareholding under Chapter 2 of Part IV of the Companies Act, 1990
Grafton Group plc ("the company") has been informed on 8 September 2008 by Bank of Ireland Asset Management Limited of 40 Mespil Road, Dublin 4 that it has an interest in 8,154,837 Grafton Units representing 3.54 per cent of the issued share capital of the company.
Of this holding, 45,832 units are registered in the nominee company name of BNY Custodial Nominees Limited, 594,111 units are registered in the name of Mellon Nominees Limited, 95,541 units are registered in the name of Nortrust Nominees Limited and 7,419,353 units are registered in the name of Bank of Ireland Nominees Limited, as registered owner only on behalf of a range of clients each of whom are the beneficial owner of a portion of the holding.
