SNR, the AIM listed natural resources developer operating in South Africa, announces that it has was informed yesterday that, following sales of ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") between 27 May 2013 and 12 July 2013 by Southern Cape Corridor Power (Pty) Limited ("SCCP"), SCCP now has a total interest in 6,475,000 Ordinary Shares, equivalent to 3.8% of SNR's total issued share capital.

The board of SNR (the "Board") was informed yesterday that the shareholding of SCCP is as follows:

i) 76.7% registered to the Southern Cape Corridor Trust (the "Trust"). Barry Nel and his wife are the trustees of the Trust and the beneficiaries of the Trust are Barry Nel's children;

ii) 19.3% registered to a trust for the benefit of David Nel's children. David Nel is a trustee of this trust; and

iii) 4.0% owned by individuals not connected with David or Barry Nel.

It was previously incorrectly stated in the Company's report and accounts for the financial year ended 29th February 2012 that David Nel was a trustee of the Trust. The Board was informed yesterday that David Nel is not a trustee of the Trust and that he resigned as a director of SCCP on 25th February 2013. Barry Nel remains a director of SCCP.
