The Twilight Saga: Eclipse achieves highest UK box office opening of 2010
Entertainment One Ltd ('the Company'), the international entertainment group, is pleased to announce that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse ("Eclipse"), the third instalment of The Twilight Saga has taken an estimated £13.8m at the UK box office, the highest UK box office opening to date for 2010.
On its UK release by Entertainment One on Friday 9th July 2010 Eclipse exceeded the opening of its predecessor, The Twilight Saga: New Moon which achieved £11.7m. In Canada, where Entertainment One released Eclipse on June 30, the film is already one of the year's top grossing films with total box office receipts of more than $18m to date. The next instalment of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn is expected in November 2011.
In addition it is anticipated that on 15th July 2010 the Company will complete its step up to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange following the continued growth and success of the Group over the last 3 years on the AIM Market.
