HBOS PLC21 August 2007 HBOS plc GRAMPIAN ABCP In the light of current market conditions for funding through Asset BackedCommercial Paper programmes, HBOS plc announces that Grampian will usefacilities provided by HBOS plc to repay maturing ABCP until such time as marketpricing improves to a level acceptable to HBOS. Grampian, with the highestrated A1+ commercial paper from S&P and P1 rating from Moody's is supported byHBOS liquidity lines sufficient to replace the whole of the ABCP outstanding .This action will have no material adverse impacts on HBOS plc.
