Market Tech completes the handover of Hawley Infants School to the London Borough of Camden

10 November 2016. Market Tech (LSE: MKT) is pleased to announce it has successfully completed phase one of its flagship mixed use development, Hawley Wharf, with the handover of a new community primary school to the London Borough of Camden. Progress across the rest of the Hawley Wharf development continues on schedule and on budget, with the first retail and leisure units set to come online in Q4 2017.

Designed around a central courtyard, the 210-place Hawley Infants School has state-of-the-art facilities and is housed in an architect-designed, highly energy efficient building. Each classroom has its own outdoor zone and there are additional rooftop terraces, a hard play space, a multi-games area and landscaped garden.

Commenting on the opening, Mark Alper, Market Tech's Group Property Director said:  "The opening of Hawley Infants School is a significant milestone for Market Tech. Underlining our commitment to the local community, the school will sit alongside Hawley Wharf's new living, retail and leisure offering."
