Grupo Clarín rejects notice of AFSCA Resolution
On 17 December 2012, Grupo Clarín S.A. (the "Company") informed the Argentine Securities Commission and the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange that on that date the Company had been served notice of Resolution No. 2276 - AFSCA/12 dated as of 17 December 2012 issued by the Audiovisual Communication Services Law Federal Enforcement Authority ("AFSCA"), whereby that agency ordered, among other things, the appraisal of the licenses and essential assets related thereto by the National Appraisal Court and ordered the Company and other licensee companies to inform that agency in a term of 15 days whether all licenses detailed in the Resolution are owned and/or exploited by such companies.
The Company rejected the notice and expressed its disconformity with the content of the Resolution, reiterating the effectiveness of the injunction issued and extended by Chamber I of the Federal Civil and Commercial Court of Appeals and the extension of the injunction granted with respect to Fibertel by Federal Civil and Commercial Court No. 3, whereby that court ordered the National Government - Secretariat of Communications to implement the means necessary to communicate to AFSCA the scope and effectiveness of such injunction.
