GRUPO CLARIN S.A.
Grupo Clarín subsidiary excluded from registry
On 29 April 2013, Grupo Clarín S.A. (the "Company") informed the Argentine Securities Commission and the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange that its subsidiary Arte Gráfico Editorial Argentino S.A. ("AGEA") had been served notice of Resolution No. 3/13, dated as of 18 April 2013, issued by the Argentine Federal Revenue Service ("AFIP"), whereby that agency excluded AGEA from the Registry of Beneficiaries of "Agreements to Promote Competitiveness and Generate Employment" (Cultural Sector), effective as from 4 March 2002, and ordered that company to restate its tax statements accordingly and pay the taxes that may result from such restatement.
As disclosed in the notes to the Company's financial statements, AGEA has filed a claim against the resolutions of the Ministry of Economy that started this controversy and will file a formal appeal against the Resolution described above.
