Bothroles were created as part of the reorganisation announced in 2006 and willreport to Group CEO, Andy Haste. Clare Salmon joins the Group to lead the development and global implementationof strategy, sales and marketing. She is formerly Director of Marketing &Commercial Strategy at ITV Plc and was a member of the Executive ManagementBoard. Clare previously worked at Centrica Plc and was Managing Director of AAFinancial Services, with responsibility for the UK's largest consumer insurancebrokerage. She has also held senior commercial roles at Prudential Corporationand started her career at Boston Consulting Group. She is a non-executivedirector of Alliance Trust plc. Clare's appointment is effective from 11th June2007. David Weymouth will be responsible for the Group's operations and technologystrategy and development. David spent nearly 30 years at Barclays Bank plc,including five years as Group CIO and a member of the Group Executive Committee,and two years as COO and Deputy CEO of Corporate Banking. Since 2005, he hasbeen an independent board consultant, advising on design and implementation ofIT, operations and procurement. David will join the Group on 25th June 2007. He was Group CIO between 1999 and 2004 and COO andDeputy CEO of Corporate Banking between 1997 and 1999. Previously, he was Director of UK Risk Management between 1992 and 1995 and COOof Barclays Group, Italy, from 1985 to 1990. 3.
