GRD Minproc, the engineering arm of GRD Limited, has been awarded theprocurement and construction management contract by Albidon Limited. "Through the Munali Nickel Project we will help Albidon make the transition fromexplorer to miner," GRD Limited Chief Executive Cliff Lawrenson commented fromJohannesburg. Munali is located 60 kilometres south of the Zambian capital Lusaka and willproduce an estimated 8,500 tonnes of nickel in concentrate per annum. As part of the contract, GRD Minproc will deliver a greenfields nickelconcentrator with associated infrastructure. "Our return to Zambia following the award winning Kansanshi project comes as wealso undertake work on copper/cobalt, uranium and gold projects in theDemocratic Republic of Congo, Namibia and Mali," Mr Lawrenson said.
