Grant of Share Options
Hong Kong, 3 April 2012 - Cathay International Holdings Ltd. (LSE: CTI.L), an investment holding company and a leading investor in thegrowing healthcare sector in the People's Republic of China, today announces that on 3 April 2012, the Company granted 4,310,000 options under a share option plan (the "Share Option Plan") approved by shareholders of the Company on 3 June 2010. The 4,310,000 options granted to the Group's management and employees represent approximately 22.6% of the options currently available under the Share Option Plan. Of the 4,310,000 options granted, the share options granted to directors and senior executives of the Group are as follows:

The exercise price of the options of 29.88 pence per share is the average closing mid-market price of the Company shares for the 30 trading days immediately prior to the date of grant. The options have a three years vesting period and are exercisable on or before the fifth anniversary of the date of the grant, subject to certain exercise conditions aligned to the Group's results and performance.
