Augean Plc11 November 2005 11 November 2005 Augean Plc ("Augean" or "the Company") Grant of Monocell Permit In the statement accompanying our interim results, your company drew attentionto a delay in receiving a permit to operate the Stable Non Reactive HazardousWaste monocells at its Thornhaugh site near Peterborough. Our original expectation had been that the permit would have been granted inJune, 2005, however, due to the delay caused by the workload of the EnvironmentAgency, the company decided to re-budget the revenue streams from this source toJune 2006. Your company is pleased to announce that it has now been granted a PollutionPrevention Control permit to operate monocells at the Thornhaugh site. We aredelighted that the Environment Agency has made this decision sooner than we hadexpected. Augean will now commence marketing these monocells and will provide guidance asto the impact in our pre-close statement in December.
