Governor Richardson Lauds New Verizon Wireless Customer Service and Wireless Data Technical Support Center in Albuquerque

Governor Bill Richardson today expressed his appreciation toVerizon Wireless for its commitment to and investment in the state onthe occasion of the grand opening of its new Customer Service andWireless Data Technical Support Center. £ Bernalillo County Commissioner Dr. Teresa Cordova, New MexicoPublic Regulations Commissioner Jason Marks, Representative DanielSilva, Albuquerque City Council Member Ken Sanchez and AlbuquerqueEconomic Development Board Chair-Elect Don Power, whose support wascritical to the project, participated in the official openingceremony. £ Located on Central Avenue in Albuquerque, the $30 million,197,000-square-foot, state-of-the art facility supports VerizonWireless' commitment to providing the best customer service in thewireless industry. £ "Today New Mexico's economy is thriving. More than 83,000additional New Mexicans are working in every part of the state. We arenow 11th in job growth in the country and Verizon Wireless iscontributing to that growth," Governor Richardson said.
