GLOBO signs major distribution agreement for

GO!Enterprise Server with ASBISC Enterprises Plc

 

Globo Plc (LSE: GBO) the international Mobile solutions and SaaS provider, is delighted to announce an agreement with ASBISC Enterprises PLC ("ASBISC"), (ASB.PW Warsaw SE: ASBIS), one of the leading distributors of Information Technology products into the emerging markets of Europe, Middle East and Africa, to distribute GO!Enterprise Server products in key markets. (Members of the ASBISC group are also known as "ASBIS")

 

This agreement is a significant development in the commercialisation of GO!Enterprise Server, with ASBIS being recognised for its broad geographical reach and as a "one-stop-shop" distributor in 86 countries.

 

The initial priority will be to offer enterprise mobility solutions, GO!Enterprise Office and GO!Enterprise Mobilizer, in Russia and the former Soviet Union, Poland, Hungary, Turkey and the Middle East. The agreement also incorporates a range of strategic initiatives and new business opportunities such as:

 

a. providing for the internal enterprise mobility needs of ASBIS by implementing and rolling out GO!Enterprise Server installations in various countries, where ASBIS operates;

 

b. in-house development of business apps and commercialisation by ASBIS developers using GO!Development Studio; and

 

c. enabling Prestigio Android tablets and smartphones as business devices with enterprise grade data security, encrypted and compressed wireless mail, access to files and other "out of the box" business apps, all through the embedded GO!Enterprise client.

 

ASBIS distributes IT software and hardware throughout the value chain including independent software vendors, value added resellers, assemblers, system and software integrators, retailers, and end customers for-specific products. It sells to more than 26,000 resellers and covers the needs of small business and large Enterprises.

 

It operates three master distribution centers located in the Czech Republic, the United Arab Emirates and China and a network of 47 in-country stock points located in 29 countries. This network supplies products to ASBIS operations and directly to its customers in 86 countries.

Globo will issue a trading statement in respect of the six month period ended 30 June 2012 on 24 July 2012.
