Vote FOR Resolutions at EGMs on 26 November

INM's Recommendation to Shareholders
Dublin/London - 13 November, 2009: Independent News & Media PLC ("INM" or the "Company") today announces that Glass Lewis, the proxy advisory firm, recommends that shareholders vote in line with INM's recommendations and FOR all of the four resolutions being put to shareholders at two Extraordinary General Meetings (EGMs) on Thursday, 26 November, 2009.
This recommendation follows RiskMetrics Group who also recommended in line with INM and FOR the four resolutions.
