Empyrean Energy Plc advises that it does not intend to apply for an extension, nor new permit application, over the Neues Bergland Permit, covering the Glantal and Lautertal Prospects in Germany.

This decision has been made with the intention of focusing the company's efforts on its American assets. Recent results from the Texas based Sugarloaf Project, in particular, justify the decision to focus the company's resources in part on the development of this exciting Eagleford Shale and Austin Chalk discovery.
