Energetix Group plc21 February 2008 Press release 21 February 2008 Energetix Group plc ("Energetix" or "the Group") Genlec-enabled Daalderop micro-CHP boilers generate significant interest at premier trade fair Energetix Group plc (AIM: EGX), a leading developer of new and sustainablealternative energy products, is pleased to announce that Daalderop BV("Daalderop"), a commercial partner of the Group's micro-CHP subsidiaryEnergetix Genlec Limited, has exhibited its new domestic boiler incorporating aGenlec micro-CHP unit at VSK 2008, the international trade fair for the heating, sanitary engineering and air-conditioning sectors. Daalderop, a Dutch leader in innovative heating equipment, has installed aGenlec unit in its new CombiVolt boiler. This marks the first public exhibitionof a Genlec-enabled micro-CHP unit, a significant milestone in EnergetixGenlec's commercialisation programme. The CombiVolt wall-mounted micro-CHP unitwas on view at Daalderop's trade stand, generating a high level of interest fromboth regulatory and commercial attendees. Energetix Genlec and Daalderop received positive feedback on the product withmany attendees, including potential adopters and even developers of other micro-CHP technologies, impressed by its benefits over competitive technologies - inparticular its compact size, light weight, low noise, low cost and ease ofinstallation. Energetix Genlec has been working closely with Daalderop since the signing oftheir agreement in late 2007. By aiming to become a 'Tier 1' component supplierto the European boiler industry, Energetix Genlec intends to make good use ofexisting routes to market, rather than utilising valuable resource to identifyand develop new ones. VSK 2008, which ran during 11-15 February 2008 in Utrecht in the Netherlands, isa high-profile industry event attracting over 65,000 visitors. The Netherlandsitself is seen by the Directors as an early adopter of, and key ongoing market, for the Genlec micro-CHP systems. This is driven by the Dutch Government'spledge to launch 10,000 micro-CHP units into households by 2009. Anticipatingthat need, Energetix has been working closely with specifiers and manufacturersin the region over the past year and, in December 2007, delivered the firstGenlec units to Daalderop. These units have been installed into Daalderopproducts and are currently undergoing testing in preparation for field trials inhomes, followed by the planned commercial launch of Genlec-enabled boilers tothe Dutch market later this year. In the UK the potential uptake of micro-CHP units is substantial, as over 14million boilers are suitable for replacement with a Genlec unit and more than1.5 million boilers are installed each year. In January 2008, Energetixannounced an agreement with E.ON UK to test Genlec with the intention ofincluding Genlec-enabled boilers as part of its UK microgeneration portfolio. Bart Romeijn, CEO of Daalderop BV, commented: "The reaction to CombiVolt at VSK2008 has been incredibly encouraging; many attendees at the exhibition commentedthat the simplicity for users, small size, and light weight of the Genlec/Daalderop product give it a significant advantage over its competitors. We aredelighted with our choice in using the Genlec technology, and the feedback whichwe have received from the exhibition has reaffirmed this decision." Adrian Hutchings, CEO of Energetix Group plc, added: "We are thrilled to seesuch positive response on the Genlec product from attendees at the exhibition, and are particularly pleased to hear extremely encouraging feedback from withinthe heating industry, and from key people planning and funding the micro-CHPdeployment programme in the Netherlands. The VSK exhibit, together with ourability to demonstrate a working example of a micro-CHP unit in our UK testhouse, has created quite a stir. In the long term we look forward to convertingthis exceptional interest into additional relationships with other boilermanufacturers, power utilities and policy-makers." - Ends - For further information: Energetix Group plcAdrian Hutchings, Chief Executive Officer Tel: +44 (0) 151 348 2111Richard Smith, Chief Financial Officer Tel: +44 (0) 151 348 2116 www.energetixgroup.com Zeus Capital Tel: +44 (0) 161 831 1512Alex ClarksonBen Thompson www.zeuscapital.co.uk BankOra Limited Tel: +44 (0) 20 7562 4700Michael Brennan Henry Turcan www.bankora.com Media enquiries:Abchurch Communications Tel: +44 (0) 20 7398 7712Sarah Hollins / Justin HeathMonique [email protected] www.abchurch-group.com About Energetix Group plc Energetix Group plc is a leading developer of new and sustainable alternativeenergy products.
