Genlec Achieves CE Certification for Kingston Boiler
Energetix Group plc (AIM:EGX), a group of companies with three cost-effective products (Pnu Power, Genlec and VPhase) to meet the growing demand for alternative energy, is pleased to announce that its subsidiary Energetix Genlec Limited ("the Company") has achieved CE certification for its high efficiency Kingston condensing boiler.
The certification process has been conducted in the UK by BSI, a global leader in the provision of product certification, technical standards and testing and Enertek International a specialist gas appliance development and test organisation. The Company has received confirmation that its Kingston boiler appliance having been tested under the Gas Appliance Directive (GAD) has satisfied the requirements necessary for CE marking and can therefore be deployed in the field trial phase of Energetix Genlec's commercial development.
Due to its unique design, the Kingston appliance can either be installed as a condensing boiler or with the addition of the Genlec power module, as a microCHP appliance.
The CE certification process for the Kingston product with power module is underway and is anticipated later in Q1 2011. Once the integrated Kingston is certified, existing Kingston boiler installations will be upgraded with power modules to test and demonstrate the microCHP operation of the Kingston appliance.
Adrian Hutchings, CEO of Energetix Group, commented: "We are delighted to have achieved this key milestone which is a major step toward the start of commercial sales of the Kingston product. We believe Kingston's low cost and capability to be a direct replacement for a traditional boiler, makes Kingston the product that will finally deliver a real microCHP solution to the annual £5bn UK and European boiler markets."

About Energetix Group plc
Energetix Group plc has three businesses with cost-effective products to meet the growing global demand for alternative energy. With a focus on distributed generation, energy storage and energy efficiency, the Energetix businesses are:
·; Energetix (Pnu) Power Limited - compressed-air back-up power;
·; Energetix Genlec Limited - distributed generation in the home; and
·; VPhase plc - domestic energy efficiency.(c.43% owned by the Group)
Energetix's strategy is to create products based on robust engineering principles, regularly utilising existing mass-produced components configured in a novel and patentable way. Avoiding cutting-edge science has enabled the Group's businesses to de-risk the new product development process which in turn reduces development time and costs. This has enabled the businesses to have a lower-than-normal technology risk while still producing strong intellectual property. In addition, this facilitates the outsourcing of production and assembly, significantly reducing the Group's investment in capital equipment. The body of know-how developed within the Group has also enabled the businesses to modify the design of existing mass-produced components to reduce costs, improve efficiency and strengthen the Group's intellectual property position.
Energetix Group joined AIM in August 2006. The Group and its subsidiaries and associates are all based near Chester, NW England.
