Further update on police investigation in Poltava

Further to our press release of July 13 2016, JKX Oil & Gas plc reports that the local police investigation in Poltava is continuing. JKX's Ukrainian subsidiary, Poltava Petroleum Company ('PPC'), continues to receive information requests from local police in connection with the criminal investigation of alleged misappropriation of funds linked to PPC's activities following police searches of PPC offices and homes of two of its executives on June 14 2016.

PPC continues to cooperate with the investigation although the scope of the investigation appears to have broadened from the original search warrant.

JKX has now referred the matter to the British and US Embassies in Kyiv and has asked for their assistance in engaging with the relevant authorities to resolve the situation.
