CRH PLC26 April 2005 CRH plc ("the Company") 26th April 2005 2004 FINAL DIVIDEND - SCRIP ALTERNATIVE CRH plc announces that, under the Company's Scrip Dividend Scheme, 37.33% of itsOrdinary Shareholders elected to receive shares in lieu of cash in respect ofall or part of their Final Dividend for 2004 to be paid on 9th May 2005. As a result, a total of 817,895 Ordinary Shares of €0.32 each have beenallotted. An application will be made for admission of the New Shares to theOfficial Lists of the Irish Stock Exchange and the U.K. Listing Authority and totrading on the London Stock Exchange's market for listed securities. Dealing inthe New Shares is expected to commence on Monday, 9th May 2005.
